Yes a supply of linen and towels is always included in our prices for your stay, unless otherwise discussed. For example, for bookings lasting longer than one week a charge may be made for a change of linen or towels.
Food can be cooked within the cottages and there is a small kitchen in the Hall. We can provide catering services upon request.
Our lake is now stocked with course fish and can be fished by arrangement for guests only and all fish must be put back.
Online booking is available on this website. You can also give our friendly team a call to discuss larger group bookings. We are always very pleased to help in any way we can.
Currently to book the hall several cottages do need to be booked as well.
Fireworks are not allowed at Darwin Lake as there are livestock in the area surrounding us.
For health and safety reasons we ask customers to bring their own stairgates if needed
Yes a number of cottages do have this option. There are sofabeds in Dovedale, Peveril, Haddon, Riber and Hardwick.

We have a number of large cooking fire pits/BBQ’s at the village that can be used where available.
Yes all electricity and heating is included in our prices.
We ask all guests to observe rules of politeness at all times and this extends to the use of music, nevertheless the Hall can accommodate many kinds of events and conferences and music is allowed there so long as you obtain a licence or your DJ has one.
We advise that small children are not left unsupervised in the grounds or the cottages as we do have a three-acre lake in the centre of the Village.
There is a pub with restaurant within walking distance and other eateries within 2 miles in the village of Two Dales.
We do not sell groceries or have a shop at the village. Nevertheless, most supermarkets will deliver your online order ready for your visit, and there are food retailers locally within 2 miles.
A number of cottages do have easy walking access and there are ground floor bedrooms with ensuite/wet room facilities to some. These cottages are Hassop, Beeley, Hartington, Wensley, Hopton and Farley. Please don't hesitate to contact our team for more information on this.
Guests may arrive at any time after 4pm on their designated arrival day and are asked to leave by 10am on their morning of departure.
A deposit of 25% is paid at the time of booking and the remainder is then required at least six weeks before arrival.
